Cookie Notice
How Centiment uses the essential session cookie needed to keep accounts signed in.
1. Current cookie use
Centiment uses a first-party session cookie and, when you choose Google sign-in, three short-lived first-party security cookies. They connect your browser to an authenticated server-side session, prevent forged or replayed sign-in responses, and return you to the page you requested.
These cookies are necessary to provide and secure the signed-in Service. They are not used for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, so Centiment does not currently present an optional-cookie consent banner.
2. Cookie details
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Protection |
|---|---|---|---|
| centiment_session | Authentication and account security | Up to 30 days, or until logout/invalidation | HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production |
| centiment_google_state, centiment_google_nonce, centiment_google_next | Protect and complete a Google sign-in request | Up to 10 minutes and removed after the callback | HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production |
3. Your controls
You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie means you will not be able to remain signed in or use features that require an account. Blocking the temporary Google cookies prevents Google sign-in from completing. Logging out invalidates your current session and removes the session cookie from your browser.
4. Future cookies
If Centiment later adds optional analytics, personalisation, or advertising technologies, this notice will be updated and any consent choices required by applicable law will be offered before those technologies are used.
